This Is Why I Never Sing In Public.

...Not because I can't sing - I actually can, thanks - but because I might get sued.



If you think I'm kidding, think again.



ASCAP is suing a Syracuse, NY karaoke bar for insufficient royalties paid for their karaoke performances.



Pretty soon, we won't be able to sing in the shower, either; and your car will be right out.



After all, allowing other people to see your lips move in the shape of the lyrics to a song constitutes illegally sharing that content with them, doesn't it?



Just wait, if it's not illegal, it will be.
