...Well, the computer is worse off than I initially thought. At first, I thought that the problem was that my hard drive and video card had been damaged; no problem.
In fact, the damage is to the motherboard.
In a Compaq, that's the kiss of death, so I am going to replace the motherboard and processor entirely in a few weeks.
Bear with me, please, as I am already shaking and grouchy without your input.
...But, that's the deal... hopefully in a week or two I will be up and ready to go again.
