Today is the scheduled date for the House to consider and debate House Resolution 4752, the Universal National Service Act.



In case the title didn't clue you in: this is a bill which would reinstate the draft and make every citizen between ages 18 and 42 subject to mandatory enlistment in the Armed Forces or "a period of civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland security, and for other purposes."



The bold print, of course, is mine. Wonder what "other purposes" those might be, hmmmm?



Anyway, yes, they're trying to reinstate the draft again. Surprised? No?

This bill was sponsored by Hillary Clinton's chum, Representative Charles Rangel, the Democrat from New York's 15th Congressional District.



That's right, not a Republican war hawk, but a black Democrat from the North. Gotta love bipartisan fuckery, dontcha?



Oh, and speaking of...



Despite the loud, public bitching Hillary and co. have done about the cuts to New York's counterterrorist funding, a little digging reveals that SHE HERSELF VOTED TO CUT THEIR FUNDS.
