Buyer's Remorse, Part 1

Did you know there's a site where you can grade Congresscritters?

I didn't.

Did you also know that on that site, every single F belongs to a Democrat?

I didn't know that either.

Did you also know that every grade on there above a C+ belongs to a Republican?

I didn't know that either - but now I do.

See, the American people got snookered. They bought the idea that Obama's campaign rhetoric was just - and only - that; campaign rhetoric, to make his most rabidly commie supporters happy, and assumed that he didn't really mean it.

Only he did.

And now, they're starting to figure it out.

They bought the idea that if they elected a ton of Democrats, all the things the Democrats have been calling bad - war, poverty, people owning stocks, companies having profits, low tax rates - would go away.

And they elected a ton of Democrats.

And now, only the things we need to keep, are going away.

War is still around.

Poverty is still around.

Nobody got a free gub'mint pony yet.

Corporate profits are shrinking, though, and people's stock holdings sure are worthless.

Taxes are sure going to skyrocket.

And the best part? Signs are starting to show that the economy may be turning itself around, without the government's help - just as all the people who can add said would happen.

Less than 6% of the funds authorized by the gigantic Obama stimulus bill have been spent.

Maybe they should think about quitting while they are ahead? They won't - the bill is a huge wishlist for them - but we will be proven right about that bill at the cost of re-destroying our economy, in the name of saving it.

Why do I keep thinking of napalm and villages?

But now the truth is starting to show. Despite the media's constant drumbeat of "Success! Success! Yayyyyyy!" lefty media outlets are watching their viewership, their readership, what have you, melt away like ice in summer. Fox News Channel now has ratings higher than MSNBC and CNN COMBINED for every time slot between 6 AM and midnight. The American people weren't fooled for long. And soon that bill will come due; the Democrats have been handed enough rope to hang themselves, on a golden platter.

They are using it. It looks as though I am not the only one who's noticed that.

I am SO looking forward to the next few years.
