If you've never heard of Lacuna Coil, you should have. They're an Italian rock band - they sound somewhat similar to Evanescence, except about a hundred times better. Because they're from Italy, they're still slightly underground in the States - after all, they're furriners, y'all - but they're slowly growing in popularity.
That got a really big boost recently. See, bands know more about other bands than Joe Schmoe on the street typically does.
So, when Dave Mustaine of Megadeth decided to do an "update" version of their track "A Tout Le Monde," from the "Youthanasia" CD, and he wanted to do it as a duet, he had to find a singer to do the duet with.
Naturally, he would want the best voice in rock.
...And that would be Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil.
So, he called her up. Surprising no-one, she responded with pleasure, and off she went to the studio with Megadeth to record the song, and film the video.
The album - United Abominations, Megadeth's 11th studio album - is due for release May 15th.
Since I can't link to a GOOD quality copy of the song anywhere - I've tried, but all the copies I've found online are trash quality - I will, instead, let you see for yourself what Cristina had to say about the video and the song, and the experience of working with Megadeth.

Have patience, guys, I'm halfway through my work-enforced absence. To give you an idea, today - Sunday - I started work at 10:55 AM, and clocked out at 10:55 PM.
